Comment: Although I am impressed by a couple of ‘impacting photos’ – I fail to see a picture that celebratory except for the cricket and that too fails to represent the British community unless the immigrant population were cheering some other team!
We have a pub called The Cricketers in Milton Keynes and it is with the cricket ground. For a pint of beer each any one could have got these locals onto the roof to cheer at anything and taken a picture. Could it have won the Press Photographer of the Year Award? Would it be credible? Would it transmit the ambiance of the pitch were the Ashes were reclaimed?
