Comment: Although I will be the first to rejoice if he gets it, I feel that he unlikely to get it (despite the fact that that it is 30 years since the only Asian Secretary General, Burma’s U Thant, left office in 1972)
as there are more pervasive political influences working in favour of another Global player – one Tony Blair.
