What do I expect from Ed?

I have been conspicuously quiet of late observing the fast paced workings of the Con-Dem [my coined phrase] Coalition Govt as if there’s no tomorrow.

Perhaps there isn’t given Ed’s positioning. But why am I so enthused about Ed Miliband given that I am Independent?

Simply because he does not appear to contraband like his elder brother who did harbour prime ministerial ambitions despite his constant denials holding a banana as his witness. Why, otherwise, would David think of relinquishing the cushy Westminster Village outside which either brother has not served?

So what do I expect of Ed?

In addition to accepting, including and implementing, if not all, some of my last manifesto, I expect him to be nationally contrite about the increased inequalities under 13 years of New Labour, about the New Labour’s Words of Mass Deception [WMDs] both in 1997 Manifesto and in the House of Parliament especially about Iraq & Afghanistan. I want him to come clean and condemn the excesses of New Labour and especially about them being economic or frugal with the truth about the economic mis-management of the UK PLC.

I want him to be humble and listen to the heart of Britain in introducing an English referendum [i] to select the new electoral system that the electorate decide upon and [ii] to select a acceptable political governance for England.

My message to the three leaders: Brown himself is unelected. Clegg got in by postal-strike delays of votes actually cast. Cameron being in the pocket of Ashcroft would not be permitted to agree.

Why Independents are essential for checks & balances in the English Parliament?

right, Political Parties by all the major media Machiavellian, it is acceptable for the respective leaders to feel on cloud 9 and pro-claim “Its two-horse race” – David Cameron or ” Its three-horse race” Nick Clegg [who got elected only because of the postal strike!] who has the Unions to thank and buy plenty of beer for his ill-gotten fortunes.

Having cleared that, please consider a ‘change in voting attitudes and strategies trying to keep the other Party out!‘

You’ll be inundated with analysis until you are eclectic-fatigued

Consider bringing some one who has considerable community governance contributions within the local community in which you and s/he lives and who could also be your next MP representing you directly into the English Parliament without

party political fetters weighing MPs down against their better judgement
party political lobby obligations contradicting one’s conscience
obligations to any one other than you and your interests
party whips or leaders, rather than you, dictating every word
any ties

Election 2010: Can independent candidates change the political landscape?

Independents – what are these unknowns?

For me this is the third attempt. Why am I a sucker for emotional and economic punishment not to mention the sheer frustration of dealing with the endemic incompetence in the service delivery even of the Independent Organisations.

No wonder all the Independents bring diversity of consciences with the commitment, and their own money, to serve only you and not himself or herself.

For me this is going to be a multi-horse, conscience-led, righteous fight-to-the-finish akin to the ‘Mahabharata battle at Kurukshetra’ calculated to be between 1493 and 1443 BCE
