THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS – LABOUR IN MELTDOWN

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/vote2006/locals/html/region_99999.stm

Labour lost 319 seats (annihilated)
Conservatives gained 316 seats.

Comment: This is far beyond 250 seats benchmark precipitating a leadership challenge within Labour.

Is it a question of when rather than if? even then, as I suspected, Gordon Brown is unlikely to succeed automatically as the public were lead to believe. He’ll face a challenge from Blairite cronies. They do not want a Scot being a PM in England. Simple as that. Is that true equality and diversity in action?
